Chilean heavy-metal band Iron Spell are revisiting their debut album Electric Conjuring through a new recording of “Stormrider”. Released to mark the album’s tenth anniversary, the version features Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner.
Fabián Valdés recorded and mixed the track at Igniter Recs, while José Canales handled the artwork. The collaboration brings a guest guitarist into a song already part of the band’s early catalogue, preserving its connection to the anniversary being celebrated.
Alongside the single, Iron Spell report that work is underway on material for their third album. They are also preparing live appearances for the rest of the year, although the announcement does not name dates, venues or a release schedule for the album.
The current lineup consists of vocalist Merciless, drummer Steelhammer, bassist Ivlock and guitarists Ian Hex and Chris Hornig. The rerecorded “Stormrider” is available through the Spotify link supplied with the announcement.
