Two Chilean bands from different heavy-music traditions will share MIbar’s stage at the next Ancient Demons event. Luctus Hydra and Riders are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, with a 20:30 start in Providencia.
Luctus Hydra plan a set spanning their seven studio releases as they celebrate 25 years of activity. The quartet will also perform a preview of its next album, described in the announcement as an eighth record expected during 2026.
Joining them are Riders, whose hard-rock influences cited in the release range from Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses to Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dio, Black Sabbath and AC/DC. The pairing brings their approach together with Luctus Hydra’s black metal.
The anniversary is the focus of Luctus Hydra’s contribution to the evening. Their set is expected to revisit material from across the existing studio catalogue before introducing a piece from the forthcoming eighth record.
