After a three-year wait, brazilian band Broken & Burnt break the silence with a massive, dark and complex album, like the monster that inspired it. Based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, “It Comes to life” brings us nine songs that float from Grunge to Stoner, Sludge and Doom Metal.
B&B came to life in 2011 and gave birth to their first album “Let The Burning Begin” in 2012. Hugo Ali (Guitar/Vocals), César Schroeder (Guitars), Denis Coelho (Bass) and Apache Moons (Drums) went on to release “Stolen/Unsober”, a Split EP with Blackslug, in 2013.
Due to geographical distance, two years were spent in the writing and recording of an album that delivers a mature band on control of their own sound, a well written and produced record soaked in the atmosphere of the horror masterpiece. Leviathanic riffs, velvety tones and captivating vocal lines, combined with low tuning and punishing drums, construct the body of what “It Comes To Life” is. Add to it the variety of paces and the contrasting tempos and you have what it takes to attract heavy music lovers.
The album was released in July 2016 and the band is currently playing dates to promote it in their “Tour Inside The Void ‘16”.
